A Master's degree is obtained after completing one or two years of study, which includes thesis work, internships, and research papers. In Canada, Master's degrees are generally divided into two types: course-based Master's degrees, which are oriented towards employment and focus on practical skills for graduates. The duration is typically 1 to 2 years. There are three pathways for admission to graduate programs:

  1. Direct Application: Suitable for individuals with excellent language proficiency and strong academic background or extensive work experience. Requirements: Bachelor's degree, IELTS score of 6.5 or above, and some schools or programs may require GMAT or GRE scores. Advantages: High application efficiency, bypassing language study, saving time and costs, and quickly studying in Canada.
  2. Master's Preparation Program: Suitable for individuals whose language proficiency does not meet the school's requirements or those with relatively weak academic background but aspire to apply for reputable Master's programs. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a minimum average score of 75. Advantages: An important pathway to apply for renowned universities, completion of the preparation program earns corresponding credits, and allows application to numerous Canadian prestigious universities.
  3. Conditional Acceptance for Master's: Suitable for students whose academic qualifications meet the admission criteria of the school but lack language proficiency or have not met the language requirements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a minimum average score of 75. Advantages: Allows students with insufficient language scores to study in Canada, saving time and costs of taking language exams in their home country. It enables students to adapt to the Canadian learning environment in advance, making the visa application process easier.
